If you and your spouse are in agreement on how to divide your assets and debts and in agreement on the issues of spousal support and child custody (if there are minor children), then you have an uncontested divorce and our Attorney Assisted Online Divorce system should be a quick, efficient, and inexpensive option for the two of you.

One of you will enter your information in our Online Divorce Portal (names, addresses, assets and how you wish to divide them and then we’ll generate the forms, send them for signature, and file them with the court. Generally it takes people in your situation about 40 minutes to complete the portal, depending on how many assets you need to enter.
The total fee to the firm is going to be either $725 for Standard Default with No Assets or Children,  $975 for a Standard Default Judgment with Assets or Children, or $1,575 for a Judgment with Marital Settlement Agreement. The Marital Settlement Agreement includes drafting a 5-17 page document that you both will sign and file with the Judgment Package that clearly states how assets and debts are to be divided, the wishes for spousal support, custody, the terms on how long one party has to make the Equalization Payment, etc.
The fee to the firm does NOT include the Filing Fee of $435 that California charges for someone to file for dissolution. If we’re filing for you electronically, we’ll send an invoice for $456.18 (they charge a convenience fee for e-filing) so that we can pay the filing fee on your behalf.

Timelines:
  • Completing Portal Questionnaire: 40 minutes
  • Filing: Same Day
  • Waiting period to file Default Judgment: 30 Days from Date of Service
  • Waiting period until divorce is Final: 6 months from Date of Service.

Need help completing your self filed divorce?

  • If you have been having difficulty finalizing your self-filed divorce, we can help. We’ll complete the rest of the process for you and guarantee acceptance of the filings by the court.

The total fee to the firm is going to be either $975 to review, edit, draft and file your Standard Judgment package, or $1,575 for a Judgment with Marital Settlement Agreement. The Marital Settlement Agreement includes drafting a 5-17 page document that you both will sign and file with the Judgment Package that clearly states how assets and debts are to be divided, the wishes for spousal support, custody, the terms on how long one party has to make the Equalization Payment, etc.

If your local courthouse allows electronic filing on your behalf we will gladly do so if you wish. But note that some courts require someone to provide two copies of the judgment, along with two addressed and stamped envelopes to be taken to the court. If that’s the case, we’ll send you the completed filings so that you can deliver them to the clerk.

Timeline: As a rule we tell clients to expect their filing to be completed in one week, but we deliver the documents faster whenever it’s possible.
