How long will my online divorce take?

You can complete the paperwork and as little as a few hours. If your spouse doesn't respond with 30 days you can file for default judgment. California has a 6 month waiting period to finalize a divorce. 

How much will my divorce cost?

Your total cost will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, if there are minor children, assets to divide, whether or not your spouse responds to your filing, and if you and your spouse can agree on all issues. You'll also have a filing fee of $435, which may be waived in certain circumstances. 

Is a lawyer required to file for divorce?

Absolutely not. If you're comfortable handling your own filings and navigating the process, you don't need an attorney. That said, our offices gets calls all the time from people that started their own filings months or even years ago and got stuck somewhere along the way. Either they didn't know the next steps or kept getting their Final Judgment Packages rejected. Our service safeguards against those issues, and in addition, if your divorce becomes more complicated (contested) than you originally believed, you already have an attorney in position to advice you if you need full representation.
